Being able to prepare and deliver an effective presentation is an essential skill for students, since presentations are an important way to transmit information to a variety of audiences. It is important therefore, that your presentation do the following: consider the specific audience being addressed; be well organized; include an introduction to your topic, a main body of information, and a conclusion; be concise; be visually appealing; and, cite sources used within the text of the presentation. It is also important to include a reference list at the end of your presentation.
It is advisable that students consult their course material and tutor for clarification about presentations in addition to looking at these sites.
